About: Our artwork is resembling Underground Railroad tracks. The Underground Railroad track is the way the U.S. slaves escaped, citizens used special symbols to give messages to the slaves and lead them away. The symbols on ours quilt are the North Star, which means to go North, the flying geese was used to guide the way to water or resting places, the bear paw means to walk out of view and follow actual bear paws, because they lead to water, the last one, the cross roads referred to Cleveland, Ohio which was the center of the railroad tracks.
